ケント・ダールはデンマーク人のジャーナリスト・写真家・ドキュメンタリー映画製作者で、１９８０年来日し東京の北千住に住んでいます。
彼が釜ヶ崎を初めて知った１９９０年以来興味をもちつづけ、度々訪れています。
下町の北千住と大阪の釜ヶ崎に共通点をいくつも見つけては、地元のように懐かしく感じてきました。
釜ヶ崎は又、大阪が根拠地である「チンドン屋一座”チンドン通信社”（東西屋）」の大事な縁のある場所です。
ケントは東西屋のファンであり、長年おっかけをしてきました。
Kent Dahl is a Danish journalist, photographer and documentary filmmaker, who has been living in Kitasenju in Tokyo since 1980. He first visited Kamagasaki around 1990 and has been back on a regular basis. Kent found many similarities between “Shitamachi” Kitasenju and Kamagasaki and felt right at home. Kamagasaki is also an important “YUKARI” area for the Osaka based chindonya group “Chin-don Tsushinsha (Tozai-ya)”. Kent is a fan of Tozaiya and has followed the group for many years.
